A great start to the Term!

29th September 2017

It’s been a great start to the term where MFL is concerned. Many children have returned with tales of how they have used their language skills whilst on holiday, whether it was for ordering food or speaking to other children which is fantastic.

We will be choosing our MFL student of the month for each year group. This has been a difficult task, as pupils have impressed us with their continued enthusiasm and effort.

Our new Year 3s have been earning many effort stars by practising on Linguascope at home and getting their parents to write it in their prep diaries. Well done Year 3.

Year 7 & 8 will have received details on the forthcoming Spanish Trip to Andalucía in the Spring Term. Year 6 have made a great start to the CE syllabus, tackling the definite and indefinite articles as well as ER verbs. Meanwhile Years 4 & 5 have been learning about the weather, numbers, dates and clothes.

Keep up the good work Copthorne. Madame Hamps and I are very impressed!
