This week the boarders had a fantastic opportunity to undertake an activity they haven’t done before. We welcomed Craig Burgess (Head of Sport at Cumnor House), to deliver some forest archery skills. The boarders were all excited to get the opportunity to fire jelly bows, horseback bows and longbows. We were all taught the basics in a short 1-1 session, but then progressed on to speed shoots, target shoots and some shots at a polystyrene deer. All of the boarders picked up the basics very quickly and some scoring some fantastic shots. Including Bryan hitting the centre yellow of the target! Overall the boarders loved their experience and this is something we will certainly look to do again in the future.
