U8 Hockey v HXP- lost 4-0

This week the U8s played HXP away in their sports hall. Due to time limitations the girls played a shortened match with rolling subs. The Captain for today’s match was Sophia Vieira.

The girls lost the toss so HXP had first pass. The girls were a little slow to start and got a little flustered with the different lines in the sports hall and not being able to play off the walls. Nevertheless the girls kept composed and defended well. Jemima Caldwell made some fantastic saves while Callie Benedict made some good interceptions. The score at half time was 1-0 to HXP.

During the second half the girls played better and had lots of the possession, Isabella White scored a goal that was disallowed and we had lots of near misses! Despite a fantastic effort the girls lost 4-0.

A good taster of what hockey is all about!

Well done to all the girls who played!

Thank you to the supporters.
