Year 3 took their Victorian topic to Preston Manor where all children enjoyed a great day dressed in their fantastic costumes. The day started with a workshop at Hove Museum where the children had a chance to get their hands on some real Victorian artefacts with a challenge of trying to work out what some of them actually were. After lunch, the children went to Preston Manor where they were put to work as Victorian house workers doing jobs such as scrubbing the floors, making the beds and laying the table (as well as learning all about how the Victorian people would have lived at the time). With the housekeeper, Mrs Storey, keeping the children in line with her strict manor we have never seen the children so well behaved!
Well done to all the children for making it such a great day and to all the parents for ensuring their children looked so good on the day.
