Charlotte the spider

7th February 2020

This week in English the Year 4s discovered Charlotte (a spider) had been very hard at work and had performed her own miracle at Copthorne, a giant spider’s web, with the words ‘some pig’ woven into it! In groups the pupils had to interview the visitors to the web and even had a photographer to capture the miracle! All this information was then used to create their own newspaper reports about the discovery.

Year 4 have also been learning about Anglo Saxon villages and have created their own Anglo Saxon houses.

We are expanding to GCSE!

Parents have told us they need a quality senior school alternative, so from September 2021, pupils already at Copthorne or joining in Year 7 will be able to stay with us to Year 11. Our first GCSE exams will take place in 2026.

Join us at our next Virtual Open Morning or read about our expansion to find out more.
