They had a super morning experiencing real life pond life, linking in with their Science ‘Living things and habitats’ topic. Below are what some of the Year 4 pupils thought;

My favourite part was when I caught a gigantic newt which had yellow spots on it! Daniel P

I loved looking at the interesting pond life, and also feeling the snake. Eva

I found 2 newts, 3 tadpole’s and to many fish to count! It was so much fun! Ella

I really liked the newts because I like giraffes and the patterns are like a giraffe on a newt. I was hoping to get a newt and I finally got one at the end! Robin
