On the Thursday before half term the Year 6s and 5s went into London and spent several fun-filled hours at the Natural History Museum. They saw many amazing exhibits such as the dinosaur one; they particularly enjoyed meeting the resident T-Rex! The children also took part in a Ocean life and Habitat Show where they dived into the ocean in a submarine and helped scientists identify ocean habitats!
Although it was a science themed trip the children also learnt a little geography, experiencing what an earthquake feels like as well as looking how rocks are formed.
It was an amazing day and both Copthorne and museum staff were very impressed with the children’s knowledge and their eagerness to learn.
Thank you to all the Year 5s and 6s and accompanying staff for making this such a wonderful day!
