6th October 2017

At Crawley Black Belt Academy, Black Belts must ‘requalify’ each year to keep their status and progress to higher ‘Dans’. Ruari has passed his first requalification and is half way to 2nd Dan. The test weekend is known to be the most challenging of any karate school and features
a 5km run, a full morning of continuous sparring, a full morning of Kata demonstrations and a fitness session of 1,600 star jumps, 125 press ups, 125 sit ups, 125 squat thrusts finishing with a non-stop 1,250 kicks!
