This week the U11b team took on Notre Dame. Despite the cold weather the girls were ready to play! The team was Captained by Charlotte Mendola and Notre Dame had the first centre pass!

The girls got off to a good start but were very crowded at times. They worked the ball well around the circle and the first goal was scored by Loren Pepper of Copthorne. After this the girls began to settle and spread out more, making good use of the wings and driving forward for the ball. They were also tight in defence with Georgina Pullen making some great interceptions. The score at half time was 6-2 to Copthorne.

The game was closer than the scoreline suggests and the girls knew that they would have to continue to play at their best to keep their lead. In the second half the girls got into their stride and the play between Charlotte, Loren and Natalie Harrison was fantastic down court and around the circle whilst Georgie and Lottie Ansell continued to be strong in defence.

At full time the final score was 14-2 to Copthorne with Natalie and Zoe Martin scoring goals.

My player of the match was Charlotte, she captained the side well and kept the game flowing. Well done!

Well done to all the girls who played!
