Recent external scholarship results have once again confirmed that Copthorne has an enviable reputation for academic excellence and all-round achievement. Further results from Worth, Hurstpierpoint and Ardingly will be received soon, but we are well on the way to maintaining our very impressive record of over 50% of our Year 8 leavers receiving a scholarship of some sort, and all getting into their first choice senior school! Autumn Term

The School Term begins today at 8.20 – we look forward to welcoming all the children back from their summer holidays!  


A huge “thank you” from all the children and staff to Mrs Johnson for organising another excellent Arts Week. Children have Stomped, tie died, made mosaics, painted fish, made clay creatures, made animation films, chalked on the playground, written stories, performed Macbeth, composed music, samba... 

Our finest athletes!

Four of Copthorne’s finest athletes made the trip to Birmingham to test themselves against the best that the UK has to offer. The sheer size of Alexander Stadium is enough to put the most seasoned athlete under extra pressure let alone 3 debutants. Qualifying for this competition is a huge achievement...

This week in Reception we were hard at work preparing for Grandparents afternoon. We had great fun showing our grandparents around, especially in our classrooms, and were very proud to show them what we can do on the sports field. We’ve also been very busy in Art, painting our clay fish that we made...
