A Fantastic Year in Art 2nd July 2026 Creative Arts As the school year draws to a close and the children prepare to take their artwork home, it has been a pleasure to reflect on what a fantastic year it has been in the Art Room. Each piece reflects not only the finished result, but the curiosity, effort and enjoyment shown along the way. Throughout the year, pupils have embraced new techniques and materials with enthusiasm. From experimenting with colour to learning new processes, they have approached every project with creativity and growing confidence. A particular highlight has been our clay work, which proved a firm favourite. From pinch pots to decorative tiles and the more ambitious slab-built pots, the children demonstrated patience and skill. Seeing their excitement as their finished pieces emerged from the kiln was a real highlight. Most importantly, the Art Room has been full of energy, imagination and fun. Pupils have shared ideas, supported one another and taken pride in their work. Well done to all our young artists—I look forward to seeing what they create next.
