Saturday Family Visitor Mornings We offer regular interactive visitor mornings for families looking at entry into Nursery, Reception and Year 3. These events allow children to get involved with fun activities led by our teaching team whilst parents have the opportunity to chat with staff to find out more about our school. Performing Arts Workshop Saturday 22 November, 9.00am – 11.00am For families with children aged 6 – 10 years, looking to join Year 3 and above in 2026 and beyond. Join us for an exciting, fun filled morning offering your child a chance to explore new skills in acting, dance and music with our brilliant performing arts team. The morning is aimed at children aged between 6 and 10 years and will take place in our theatre. At the end of the morning, children will showcase what they have learned in a special performance for parents. Booking is essential as places are limited Reserve your place Tinsel & Tots Family Visitor Morning Saturday 22 November, 9.00am – 11.00am For families with children aged 1–4 years who are interested in joining our Flying Start Nursery. It’s never too early for a bit of tinsel! Bring your little ones along for a morning of festive fun with our Early Years team. This special event for prospective families offers a chance for children to enjoy hands-on Christmas-themed activities, while parents can chat with our friendly staff and learn more about life at Copthorne Prep. Booking is essential as places are limited Reserve your place Working Visitor Morning Wednesday 19 November, 9.00am Join our Head of School, Kylie McGregor, for an informative presentation, before taking a tour of our School with pupils from Year 6. You will be able to see our classes in action and a glimpse of everyday life at Copthorne Prep. Following your tour, you will join Mrs McGregor, Mr Ben Purkiss, Executive Head, our Senior Leadership Team and Registrar for refreshments and the chance to chat through any questions you might have. Reserve your place Virtual Visitor Evenings To support working families, we offer live virtual evening events that allow you to get to know our school. Whether you are looking at joining in Nursery or Reception or further up the school, you will be giving plenty of insight into every aspect of a Copthorne education. Each event is presented live by the Head of School and there is an open Q&A with our Executive Head and senior team on hand. Little Caterpillar Adventures Toddler Group Every Thursday, 10.00am – 11.00am (term time) Weekly child led woodland play group designed for families of pre-school children (age 0 – 5 years) considering joining Copthorne Prep. Based in our fantastic forest camp, nestled within our own woodland, there is something to spark curiosity in every young adventurer. Activities will be led by our Outdoor Learning Leader, Mr D. Each session will conclude with group story time, perfect for winding down after all the excitement. There is no charge to join the group although we kindly ask you to reserve your place in advance to ensure that we can accommodate everyone. We will provide light refreshments (including hot chocolate when the weather is a bit chilly!) for children and their parent/guardian. Sessions will take place in all weathers because a little rain never spoils our fun! In the case of lightning storms or high winds, we will advise alternative plans. Please dress appropriately for the weather and we advise to bring a change of clothes and footwear. Sessions are free, and children must be accompanied by an adult carer at all times.
