Celebrating our Year 6 Leavers 2nd July 2026 Community Sport What a fantastic afternoon we enjoyed as we celebrated our Year 6 leavers and their time at Copthorne. The event brought together pupils, parents and staff for a memorable occasion filled with fun, laughter and reflection. The afternoon began with a friendly tennis event, where pupils and parents took to the courts together. There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout, with plenty of enthusiasm, great rallies and lots of smiles on display. It was a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy some quality time together while celebrating the achievements and friendships that have been built during their years at the school. Following the tennis, everyone gathered for a delicious BBQ, where families enjoyed good food and the chance to socialise in the sunshine. The relaxed setting provided the perfect backdrop for pupils, parents and staff to share memories and look back on the many highlights of the Year 6 journey. As the afternoon drew to a close, attention turned to a series of heartfelt speeches. These emotional tributes reflected on the pupils’ growth, achievements and contributions to school life during their time at Copthorne. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a few tears as memories were shared and the Year 6 pupils were wished every success for the exciting adventures that lie ahead. It was a truly special celebration and a fitting way to mark the end of an important chapter. We are incredibly proud of all our Year 6 leavers and thank the families and staff who helped make the afternoon such a memorable occasion. We wish every pupil the very best as they move on to the next stage of their educational journey.
