Students with headteacher

Forest School

18th November 2017

This week in Reception we have had a lot of fun in Forest School planting grass seeds and making faces for our grassy heads. The children are most excited to see them grow. We’ve also started our Autumn topic painting trees and using washing up brushes to make the leaves.

We continue to focus on our numbers to 20: counting on one more or one less of a group of objects and recording the answer. Mrs Blacker and Mrs Diedericks are very pleased with the children’s progress.

We also celebrated Children in Need week with Smartie decorated biscuits for Pudsey. We all know that of course you need to make one to sell in the bake sale … plus a spare for yourself. They tasted yummy!

Please can all parents check their children’s coats are in school and clearly named, preferably in the top of the neck so the children and staff can spot their names quickly without hunting for them first!

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
