The U10 and U11 girls enjoyed an excellent afternoon of hockey against Cottesmore. With Cottesmore bringing just one team, our Copthorne Prep squad was split into three mixed-ability teams, allowing all the girls plenty of game time and opportunities to contribute.
Each match was evenly contested, with both schools demonstrating good hockey skills throughout. The girls produced some excellent passing moves, worked hard in defence, and showed great determination and teamwork from start to finish. It was particularly pleasing to see the strong team spirit on display, with players encouraging one another and celebrating each other’s successes.
A big thank you goes to all the parents for their support and encouragement from the sidelines, which helped create such a positive atmosphere. The afternoon was rounded off perfectly with everyone enjoying match teas together after the games.
Well done to all the girls for representing Copthorne so positively and making it an enjoyable and successful fixture.
