Year 2 have settled wonderfully into the art room and are becoming increasingly confident in their new creative environment. As part of their introduction to the space, the children have been learning where different art resources are kept and how to access them independently.
This week, the pupils were challenged to use their imagination by incorporating a given shape or image into a creative drawing. The activity encouraged them to think creatively, develop their ideas, and explore different possibilities. It was fantastic to see the wide variety of imaginative pictures, with each child bringing their own unique interpretation to the task.
The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their artwork with their classmates, explaining their ideas and celebrating each other’s creativity. We are looking forward to seeing their artistic skills continue to grow throughout the year.
