Year 3 made the most of the sunny weather this week by taking their maths lesson outside. The children put their addition and subtraction skills to the test as they counted their footsteps around certain points on the school fields and then adding or subtracting them. They then came back inside to work out how far a footstep actually is by measuring it and then used this measurement to work out how far they had walked. Lots of fun had by all the children who are really showing their expertise in addition and subtraction.

The children were given the option to make an Easter themed board game over the holidays.

On Friday it was time to have a go at them. As the weather was nice we took the games outside to play them in the sunshine. All the games were a huge success and the children had a great time playing them.

The children were also able to observe and record different plants in the school grounds.
