We had a lovely time in the woods this week, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and going on our very own caterpillar hunt! The children searched high and low for all the fruit the caterpillar ate, and found the apple, pears, plums, strawberries and oranges. To everyone’s excitement, we even spotted a caterpillar on a tree, although not the hungry one from the book!
After our hunt, the children enjoyed some free play, exploring the hammocks and having fun with the wheelbarrows. There were lots of smiles and laughter as we made the most of the fresh air together.
