Spot-tacular Learning in Butterflies

This week in Butterflies, we have been reading What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside. The children enjoyed exploring the story and taking part in a variety of ladybird-themed activities.

One of the highlights was a ladybird hunt, where the children searched for stone ladybirds hidden around the setting. Each ladybird had a different number of spots, from one to twelve, giving the children a fun opportunity to practise their counting skills as they carefully counted each set of spots.

Our favourite activity of the week was making healthy snacks to look like our spotty friends. The children used a rice cake for the body, strawberries for the wings, and blueberries for the spots to create their own delicious snack. The children were fantastic at listening carefully and following instructions throughout the activity. There was lots of pride in the finished ladybirds and some children managed to save them to take home and share with their family!

Well done, Butterflies, for another wonderful week of learning and fun.
