Year 5 Peer Mentor Interviews 27th February 2026 Community If ever we needed a reminder of how deeply kindness is woven into the fabric of Copthorne, and how exceptional our older pupils are, the Year 5 Peer Mentor interviews provided exactly that. Head of School, Mrs McGregor and Mrs Huckle, Matron and Wellbeing Guardian had the great pleasure of meeting with each applicant, exploring their thoughtful presentations, and hearing their understanding of what it means to be a Peer Mentor at our school. Every pupil presented with confidence and clarity, articulating not only why they were eager to take on the role, but also the skills and qualities they felt were essential to it.Our new Peer Mentors will begin their training over the coming weeks and will be active within the school community before Easter. We know our younger pupils will benefit enormously from their compassion, leadership, and the wonderful example they will set.
