Year 6 Artists at Work 22nd May 2026 Creative Arts Year 6 have really embraced their art lessons, and it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they take creative risks and discover new effects. They have recently completed their vibrant oil pastel pieces, demonstrating an impressive range of colour, texture and creativity. As part of the finishing process, the children carefully mounted their artwork. Pupils selected mount colours that complemented their work and measured carefully to ensure their artwork was centred. This week, the children have been exploring monoprinting using gel plates. They have enjoyed experimenting with a variety of patterns, textures and layering techniques, creating unique and expressive prints. Well done, Year 6, for creating some fantastic artwork!
