Years 5&6 Dig Deep Cross Country 13th March 2026 Sport The Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Cross Country Relay event at Ardingly on Friday 6 March demonstrating outstanding resilience and team spirit in what can only be described as challenging conditions. From the moment the teams arrived, it was clear the weather was going to play a major role. Heavy rain, and increasingly muddy terrain made the course exceptionally demanding. Despite the terrible weather and heavy underfoot conditions, every runner rose to the challenge with determination and enthusiasm. Each runner pushed themselves during their leg of the relay with one of the highlights being Anastasia who managed to chase down and beat one of her main rivals from another school. Their positive attitude was evident throughout, and they should feel immensely proud of what they achieved today. A huge thank you goes to the parents who braved the weather to cheer from the sidelines. Well done to all our Year 5 and 6 runners—you represented the school brilliantly.
