Its been a brilliant week of huffing, puffing, and beanbag-throwing from our Bumblebees! The children have been building their physical skills through the story of The Three Little Pigs, our book of the week! To bring the tale to life, the children took turns “feeding” our pretend pig by throwing yummy beanbags into its mouth.
It might look like simple fun, but this activity is packed with learning. Throwing and aiming helps children develop hand-eye coordination and gross motor control, while taking turns builds patience and social skills. Each attempt also gave the children a chance to practise resilience cheering each other on and trying again after a near miss (and celebrating loudly when a beanbag found its target!). In addition to the fun game, the children loved listening to this classic tale!
