Pupils Progress on their Judo Journey 19th June 2026 Co-curricular Congratulations to all the children who were awarded their first Judo grades today. For children under 8 years of age, the grades are known as Sho, with 9 grades available to achieve. For children aged 8–17 years, the grades are known as Mon, with 18 grades to progress through, from beginner level to Brown Belt. Today, those who attend the Pre-Prep lesson were proudly awarded Sho 1, while the children who attend Prep lesson achieved Mon 1. These grades form part of the internationally recognised grading syllabus of the British Judo Association. Well done to everyone for their hard work, commitment, and excellent progress on their judo journey. Judo will be continuing for the Autumn Term and you can book your child’s place via SOCS from Saturday 11 July.
