Year 2 have Fun at Drusilla’s

Year 2 had a fantastic school trip to Drusilla’s! We started the day exploring the zoo, looking at all the amazing animals.

We particularly enjoyed the sleepy sloths, the funny meerkats, the giant anteater, and we were very jealous of the penguins swimming! We then took part in a great workshop where we learnt about animal conservation and how zoos help to protect endangered species. We were very brave and even had the chance to stroke a cockroach and a python snake!

Afterwards, we enjoyed our lunch in the shade before taking a relaxing train ride around the park. The excitement continued as we bravely went on the cheetah and hippo rides, there was quite a lot of screaming! To cool off, the children had lots of fun in the splash pad and on the slides. Before heading home, everyone enjoyed a delicious ice lolly.

We were incredibly impressed with the children, they represented Copthorne wonderfully and, most importantly, had so much fun!
