When We Grow Up, We Want to Be… 15th May 2026 Nursery This week, thanks to one of our lovely parents, the children in nursery had the exciting opportunity to try on a real firefighter uniform. Avantheka especially loved wearing the helmet and boots and was very happy exploring what it might feel like to be a firefighter. As part of our learning, we have also been creating fire pictures through colour mixing. Using one hand painted yellow and one hand painted red, the children mixed the colours together to make orange before creating their handprint fire art. The children have also been enjoying discussions about what they would like to be when they grow up. So far, we have heard a wonderful range of ideas including teachers, vets, scientists, firefighters, mermaids and, of course, Batman.
