Learn Like an Egyptian in Year 3 17th October 2025 Global This week, Year 3 have been diving deep into the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt! The children have been learning all about the incredible pyramids — how they were built thousands of years ago, what materials were used, and why they were such important monuments. They discovered that the pyramids were built from huge limestone blocks, carefully placed by skilled workers using clever ramps and tools — all without modern machines! The children were amazed to learn just how tall these structures are, with the Great Pyramid of Giza originally standing at around 146 metres high. Liyanna was so inspired by our Ancient Egypt topic that she created her very own Cleopatra using Hama beads! Her colourful design shows great attention to detail and creativity — a wonderful way to bring history to life through art. Well done, Liyanna! Isabella wowed everyone with her amazing handmade pyramid – she carefully designed and built her own model pyramid to share with the class. Isabella’s creativity and enthusiasm helped bring Ancient Egypt to life for everyone! Well done Isabella!
