We run open mornings throughout the academic year and invite all prospective families to attend. They are a great opportunity to see our school and facilities as well as meeting our senior leadership and admissions teams. You will also have the opportunity to chat with our pupils as they will also be showing you around our school.

Working Open Morning

This event is aimed at families with children aged 3 – 5 years looking to join our Reception cohort in September 2024 or 2025

Join Mrs Kylie McGregor, Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery, and our Early Years team for a fun-filled space and adventure themed morning at Copthorne Prep, aimed at children between 3 and 5 years. Craft activities, an opportunity to travel through the galaxy in our dome and program some bots, as well as enjoy a tour of our extensive grounds and facilities await!

Welly Walk

This event is aimed at families with children aged 2 – 5 years looking to join our Nursery or Reception cohorts in 2024/2025

Copthorne Prep School sits within a glorious 55 acre site surrounded by our own extensive woodland area, which provides the space and unique educational experience for our children to connect with themselves, with nature and with each other. Our superb resource promotes creative thinking, independence and resilience, being part of both our curriculum and extra-curricular activity programme from our Nursery upwards.
Join us for a magical fairy and elf themed Welly Walk, aimed at children aged between 2 and 5 years. Waterproof coats and welly boots will come in handy as you join our Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery, Kylie McGregor, and our Forest School Leader, Stuart Lee, on the most fantastical of journeys! The children will take part in a variety of activities in small groups with their parents, following which you are most welcome to join staff for refreshments, an informal chat and/or a tour of our school as part of our Summer Term Open Morning event, which commences at 10.15am and concludes at 12.15pm*.
*Worried that a whole morning might be too much for your little one? Please don’t worry if this is the case as we will be holding a Working Open Morning on Thursday 23 May at 9.15am for prospective Reception and Nursery entrants (September 2024 and September 2025) and you would be most welcome to join us (pre-registration necessary).

Refreshments will be served following your tour and there will be an opportunity to speak informally on a one-to-one basis with Mr Close, Mrs Kylie McGregor – our Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery – and our Registrar, as well as ask plenty of questions of our teachers and pupils on your tour.
