Copthorne School Trust Limited is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The trustees of the charity are the directors of the company as well as being governors of the school. Governors have responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the school. Day to day management of the school lies with the Headmaster who has overall responsibility for the school and the Bursar who takes responsibility for all non-academic aspects and financial matters.
The Governing Body works hard to support the aims and ethos of the School. Governors are chosen for their specialist skills and many have connections to the school and the local area. They all take an active interest in the life of the school and often visit during the school day.
Parents wishing to send a letter to the Chair of Governors should write to Mrs K Bell c/o The Clerk to the Governors, Copthorne Prep School – marking the envelope ‘Private & Confidential’ if necessary.
