Here’s what’s happening in boarding this Summer Term, so have a look and book in early to avoid disappointment. Thursday 17th May Movie night. Popcorn provided of course. Mainly for Yr 3-5s. Thursday 24th May Book in to watch the Staff Cricket team destroy Cottesmore! Only for real cricket lovers! Thursday 31st May Make your own ice cream. Guaranteed to be yummy! Tuesday 19th June Pool party and BBQ. Mainly for Years 6-8. Thursday 5th July The Great Water Fight. Be afraid… be very afraid! Subject to good weather. Boarding Events Spring Term 2012
Here are the boarding events for the Spring Term. As always, book in by e-mailing djenkins@copthorneprep.co.uk and do so early to secure your place. Thursday 26th January Taster night for Years 3 and 4. A movie with drinks and popcorn as part of the deal. Thursday 9th February Classic Party Games with prizes up for grabs! Thursday 16th February Taster Night for Years 5 and 6. Mini Olypics in the sports hall. Boarding Events Autumn 2011
This term in boarding: on top of the usual swimming and fun in the sports hall which happens on many evenings, we have a few extra special events on to be aware of: Thursday 22nd September – Design your own biscuits, and then eat them of course! Thursday 29th September – Balloon Battles - balloon volleyball followed by balloon bursting battles. Thursday 17th November – Ten pin Bowling at Hollywood Bowls in Crawley. Spaces limited. What’s going on in boarding this term?
The Summer Term is always a great one for boarding. When the weather is fine, boarders generally have freedom of the school, and are able to pretty much choose what activities they would like to do on any given evening. In addition to this the following events will be taking place during this rather short and busy term: Thursday 19th May Copthorne Tennis Doubles Tournament Take on some of the staff and your fellow students in a tennis competition with lots of prizes to be won! Date Activity Thursday 13th January Extreme Uno Thursday 20th January Taster Night for Years 3 and 4 For anyone especially in these Years who want to try out boarding for a night. We will be playing squashed sardines, a variation of hide and seek in the dark. Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th of January Taster Nights for Years 5 and 6 For anyone especially in these Years who want to try out boarding for a few nights.
