Year 2 have been busy making their masks for their Masked Ball and using computers to create invitations for next week’s big event! They have also been sharing their personal celebrations with their classmates. Some children chose to talk about Hallowe’en, their christening, Diwali, Christmas and many more. Acorns class played a fun colours game and celebrated the end of their colours topic with a week of rainbow based activities. They made rainbow names, sang songs, threaded rainbow pasta, made rainbow cakes and some beautiful rainbow lanterns! We attempted to learn sign language to sing the rainbow song with debatable success! Oaks have been learning about the cold and the Antarctic….

This week in Science, Year 8 looked at a pig’s lungs and heart to learn about the respiratory system. They were surprised at how squashy and light the lungs are and how large and heavy the heart is! In Maths, Year 8 started using protractors and Mrs Lee put their skills put to the test!
