Nursery

It’s been another busy week for Nursery! Izzy was building a duplo tower, Dylan spotted horses on our forest fun walk and Liam made 5 speckled frogs using hand prints! Oaks class travelled to Italy this week, they made chefs’ hats, pizzas and ice-cream! Bellisimo!

Piano competition

5th October 2020

Alex took part in a piano competition and won 3rd prize! There were more than 70 people taking part (he was one of the youngest in the group) with five 3rd place winners which meant that he was in the top 10. Well done Alex!

Year 8

5th October 2020

This week Year 8 have been testing metals in Science this week to see which one was the most reactive. They tested magnesium, zinc, iron and copper with different salts. The most reactive metal was magnesium, which is what the children predicted!

Year 7

Year 7 continued their topic on food in French this week. To help practise their French, they played a game of battleships where the numbers and letters were replaced with names of French food! Year 7 were also making use of the resources around the school to discuss the location of the Garden of Eden….

Year 6

Year 6 have started to draw landscapes in Art this week. They had to choose an image from their textbooks and try and replicate them as best they could. They were able to use oil pastels, water colours, coloured pencils to draw… We can’t wait to see the end result!

Year 5

5th October 2020

Year 5 had an exhilarating lesson yesterday practicing their improvisational skills in Drama. The children took it in turns to tell a story and the rest of the class had seconds to improvise! We had funny stories about potatoes, sharks, dolphins, horses and a crazy man in the van!
