Chinese New Year

Kung Hei Fat Choi from the Older Nursery classes. We have been learning all about the Chinese New Year. We now know the story of the Great Animal Race and how the clever rat cheated to win so the first New Year could be named after him. We painted some brightly coloured dragons, made horse masks, folded fans and made Chinese lanterns. A special thank you to Mrs Rees, (Amelie’s Mummy) for bringing in some Chinese snacks for us to try and also to Ms Butterworth (Ollie’s Mummy) for the books and souvenirs.

Next week we will be learning about Spain so, as always, anything of interest would be gratefully received by us.

The younger class have been learning the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and made a very large beanstalk height chart in the class.

Also please be aware that there are several cases of chicken pox in the Nursery.
