Year 6

21st December 2020

In Art, Year 6 have been doing some festive craft and made their own elves… each full of individual character! In Geography, they have been learning about maps. Their task was to draw a sketch map of the school. They also used six-figure grid references to locate clues hidden around the school in order to uncover the mystery word. (Caelan, Freddy and Isaac were the winning team!). Year 6 have designed Mayan themed Christmas cards to finish off their topic of the Ancient Maya. This week they learnt that when the Spanish invaded, they forced Christianity upon them, so they imagined what a Mayan Christmas Card might look like! In Drama the pupils have been rehearsing for their Thriller performance next week…zombies on show! Keep your eyes peeled for a video next week!

We are expanding to GCSE!

Parents have told us they need a quality senior school alternative, so from September 2021, pupils already at Copthorne or joining in Year 7 will be able to stay with us to Year 11. Our first GCSE exams will take place in 2026.

Join us at our next Virtual Open Morning or read about our expansion to find out more.
